So last night I took Matthew shopping for his birthday. We were looking for clothes and shoes. He wants to be like Nathan, and so he had to have a pair of converse sneakers. So, we walk into the mall in Lake City and make a dash for the shoe store. He walks right to the Converse, and says, " here are the converts I want mommy". He takes the display down and I tell him we have to find his size. We do, and he tries it on. Then he looks in the box for the mate. It's not in there. He then opens another box and there is only one in there too. I tell him to walk around to see how they feel. There he is, walking around with one "convert" and one croc. He runs back to me and states that the convert makes him run faster! We put back on his croc and take the lonely convert in its box up to the register to pay. Then he informs me that we only have one shoe, and that he can't wear just one. I assure him that it will be okay. The woman takes the box from me and he announces that there is one missing. She tells him she will fix it,and goes to the back to grab the mate. She was trying really hard not to laugh. That was my cute story for the day.
Ah, yes. He still says converts.

Oh, my. Converts telling sneakerets to each other, one shoe at a time. I love it.

Recall when Matthew's big brother used to tell "Sneakrets"?

It's cute in the telling and I lived through it with you. It was just as cute at the time it was happening. Converts!
