SO last night Richard and I went bowling with the church. It was a couple's bowling fellowship. We were the first ones to arrive and asked if we could go ahead and be put on a lane. The man gave us our choice of lanes that were reserved. ( this is because we go so often they know us and give us perks.) So Richard and I began bowling. We got through one game and then the people from our group started to trickle in. We ended up with 5 of us playing on our lane. Our second game was my personal best. It started out with a couple spares, then I heard commotion on one of the other lanes. It was a woman I had never seen before and she had gotten a turkey. ( for the novices out there, this is 3 strikes in a row) Well apparently that brought out the competitiveness in me and I decided that I wanted to do that too. So I took my time and began aiming. Let me just ask you a question, Is there a name for 5 strikes in a row? There should be. My score was 210 at the end of the game, beating not only Richard, but everyone else who was with us. It was fun and Richard who bowled a 105 that game went to sulk in the men's restroom for a bit. I was humble with him, but the other men were not. :o) I got two free games out of the deal. It was "sweet!" So one more question... Wanna bowl?
The pain part came last night. I have back problems and knew that it wasn't going to be pretty when I sat still long enough for fluids to accumulate. Which happened in the car ride home. I immediately took motrin and went to bed. This morning it felt better but still is stiff. One of the men who was bowling with us on our lane is the one who came to cut mom's tree. He told Richard that he needed to take me bowling today while I was still in pain because that way he would have a chance at winning. :o)
Not often do I excel above Richard, but it is so nice to do it with witnesses. :o)
Congratulations! Wow, 210 is awesome. It's in the DNA and you will continue to bowl very well. It's a hidden secret. Way to go! Hope you feel better soon.

Oh, the joy of breaking 200. The magic glass ceiling of bowling is shattered and you have soared above it. So, the secret of bowling is just to AIM. Who knew?
CONGRATULATIONS! And yes, I am yelling it so you can hear me. (BTW you could have told me about 01 doc. Somehow.)

The name for bowling 5 strikes against anybody is "Most Excellent - Way to go!"
