So here we are. Another year has come and gone. Some people make resolutions this particular day. Some to lose weight. Some to change things that need changing. It is a time for fresh starts and new beginings. For me? It is a relaxing day. I get the day to just lay around and not do anything. Writing checks is always fun trying to learn the new number in the year. That will take me about 3 months to master. Those of you who still use the pen to make transactions know what I am talking about. I wish all of you happiness and sucess in the new year. Stay safe and be happy.
Doing great in 2008. You took the New Year Holiday and relaxed; yes I too took a break from the fast lane of life. Great idea pre-dating the checkbook.

12:18AM Jan 1st, I was sitting at the dining table - inserting '08 '08 '08 in my checkbooks. It'll take me as long as the checkbooks last to remember the new year. You;d think this would get easier, the older one gets, but no-o-o-ooo.

What a lovely plan for starting the year off right. Take a day and relax! 2008, 2008, have to write the year on my first few checks, in advance.
